People who understand the game? My dad said the exact same thing though, "Well it won't matter if we don't win". But why not? How does not winning the game nullify the whole play? It did happen, and it should be remembered.

The Panthers tried 2 two point conversions. They gave up 2 points they would have had if they just went for PATs. This also casued NE to go for, and get an additional point when they converted on their 2 point conversion. NE would never have tried a 2 point conversion; it would have been completely pointless. At the end of the game, the score wuld have been 31 Panthers, 28 NE. That last field goal attempt would have been to just tie the game.

Because that pick didn't result in the panthers winning the game. Kasay kicking the ball out of bounds allowed the patriots to get good field position, then allowed them to kick the winning FG after driving down the field. That bonehead kick will be remembered more that Brady's pick IMO

You're probably right but Vinatieri's kick will be remembered even more. Besides, the Panthers defense wasn't exactly stopping NE, so the chances are that NE would have been kicking that field goal attempt anyway. The mistakes I thought of in the game were the 2 point conversion attempts and the time out called by the Panthers before they scored their last touchdown. Couldn't understand calling that time out; they should have been running the clock down considering the fact the NE scored a TD in the last minute of the first half.

I agree, and I am a panther fan. Our secondary was absolutely horrible today.

I don't think that will be the case. It comes back to the fact that the Patriots pulled out the W, and Kasay helped the cause with that kick. The screw-ups that cost your team the game are always remembered before the screw-ups that almost cost your team the game. Scott Norwood comes to mind
