My pick is Tom Brady--QB to be fearedOriginally posted by: Pshawn5

Great game. Hate to see the Pats win but they deserved it. I do think Fox blew it though going for the 2 point conversion when the game was 21 - 16. I know it was justified thinking about going for the 2 points but when they called the play, I was thinking that I'd rather just have the extra point; there was still way too much time on the clock. That game winning field goal by NE would have just been a game tying kick to send the game into overtime.

not that it mattered in the end, but why did stupid tom brady call a timeout with 9 seconds left? why didn't he just wait till the clock hits 2 so they dont even give the panthers a chance to return a kick?
calling a guy stupid after he leads his team to a super bowl win?
the decision was stupid. if carolina returned the kick for a td it would have been his fault. just because there weren't bad consequences doesn't make it a good choice. are you able to comprehend that?

Aw come on, he through a goddamn interception in the redzone, and Delhomme and muhammed had the longest TD pass in SB history.

oh please, if they would have run the ball back for a touchdown, i would have blamed the 11 guys on the field that let him score that TD.

Yeah but they lost so who cares.
The Panthers tried 2 two point conversions. They gave up 2 points they would have had if they just went for PATs. This also casued NE to go for, and get an additional point when they converted on their 2 point conversion. NE would never have tried a 2 point conversion; it would have been completely pointless. At the end of the game, the score wuld have been 31 Panthers, 28 NE. That last field goal attempt would have been to just tie the game.Originally posted by: Mermaidman

People who understand the game? My dad said the exact same thing though, "Well it won't matter if we don't win". But why not? How does not winning the game nullify the whole play? It did happen, and it should be remembered.

Because that pick didn't result in the panthers winning the game. Kasay kicking the ball out of bounds allowed the patriots to get good field position, then allowed them to kick the winning FG after driving down the field. That bonehead kick will be remembered more that Brady's pick IMO

You're probably right but Vinatieri's kick will be remembered even more. Besides, the Panthers defense wasn't exactly stopping NE, so the chances are that NE would have been kicking that field goal attempt anyway. The mistakes I thought of in the game were the 2 point conversion attempts and the time out called by the Panthers before they scored their last touchdown. Couldn't understand calling that time out; they should have been running the clock down considering the fact the NE scored a TD in the last minute of the first half.Originally posted by: KLin

Did my Cowboys win the game?
Not in, like, forever.
It just ain't the Superbowl without the boys! Don't you dudes agree?
I lived in Philly when Howard Kosel deemed Dallas "Americas team"
Howie used to say things like "It must be such an honor for the Eagles to be playing against such a superior force"
Well, Howie was walking through a fan accessable area (he was below)
We unloaded our used beer on him.
That answer your question?
