I wouldn't really have to do anything - plenty of food in my apartment and I'm not responsible for clearing snow. However, my parents asked me to come back home to LI tomorrow night to help out since my dad can't do too much these days, so I'll probably be out there shoveling. I hate clearing snow.

It was 82 degrees here today. Just closed the sliding door to the patio for the night as it is getting chilly now (63 degrees).

I'm originally from upstate New York. Don't miss it one single bit.

I'm jealous. I moved to Saint Louis with the expectation of bitter cold and snow and it's been in the 60s the whole time. It's finally 31 and I've got the window and sliding door open.

I have the option of working from home, but doesn't look like anyone at my lab is going in during my shift (graveyard) tomorrow.

Sucks for those people. It's been a very dry winter so far around here. Hardly any snow on the ground in the city. More up north, though that's mostly lake effect stuff.

not looking forward to having to shovel, but otherwise I'm all set.

made a big pot of chili tonight that should last for a couple days, along with the usual staples (eggs, cheese, etc) and snacks... I lucked out with the perfect parking spot under the overpass by my house too, so at least I shouldn't have to worry about digging out my car.

Sure. Haven't had a snow day this year. So, that much snow = day off. Plus, I can handle 3 or 4 feet of snow without much of a hassle (though I still haven't stuck the chains on my tractor).

And if the tractor breaks down you could just harness up the goats!

Seriously though I just hate dealing with the mess. Oh well.

Thank god for living in Portland,OR,where we basically never get these crazy high amounts of snow.

(the most I've seen was about 10 inches of snow back during the Blizzard of 1996.)
