I bought this monitor for $299 new 4 months ago, so $229.99 is even better. Great price for a great monitor. It's really nice and bright and doesn't hurt your eyes at all....at least not mine. I run it at 1280x1024 and it doesn't flicker what so ever. Great find Freekylink. BTW, Freekylink....isn't that the name of this new show on FOX? Just wondering.

PS: I don't think they offer free shipping on monitors. I could be wrong though.
WOW! I just got this from amazon for $360 shipped (used up gcs)- 2 in fact because the first was scratched on te screen surface. I really like the monitor but the 2d they sent me had a fuzzy area on the display so I'm in the process of returning them both. But they are really nice monitors otherwise. I think I just got bad units. It's too bad bc I really wanted to keep it- very nice, good specs and flat displays.
I wish I had buy.com gcs instead.
Coki, I just looked at the box - it says it exceeds MPRII, which I was told is an alternate measuring standard. I trust NEC on this- they've been making highly respected monitors a long time.
My total would be $262.00 with shipping,i'm wondering if the Samsung flat screen monitors for a few dollars more after $30.00 rebate isn't a better deal.
This (The NEC 95F) is a flat screen model. It is a new model - They just started shipping in August. The tech guy at onvia says it's truly flat vs flat square (which is what the NEC 90 is). onvia link to product specs -- he states:
The multimedia features are the builtin speakers.

Hello,
The AS95F is a true flat screen monitor (vs. the 90M that is flat square). The 95F does not include the multimedia features.
My next monitor has to have TCO ratings since I am probably getting fried sitting in front of my 1995 Sony Trinitron 17" monitor for over 10 hours a day. I want a hot deal on a 19" with low emissions.
If anyone can tell me if this monitor is really safe, I would appreciate because I am really thinking about purchasing this monitor. My old 15 inch has had it.
There is NO way to get free shipping w/ Buy.com unless it's at Clearance Section.
The Monitor is around 55 LBs. I guess Buy.com ships free w/ item that's less than 20 LBs
I just bought this monitor on Wednesday, and I got it Yesterday. Pretty fast. I paid $284 total including shipping, taxes, with the $30 coupon. It's a true flat screen. Pretty good deal for a 19".
