You can find $30 off $150 coupons at mmost of the popular coupon sites. I dont think youre allowed to post links or something like that but if you ask around, someone will prolly hook you up.

That info link posted earlier wasn't working so well. This link might work a little better.

I'm hitting up Staples after work today. ...I was thinking about buying the $200 - $50MIR one at Best Buy, but $120 upfront is MUCH better.

If anyone wants to PM me a link to a pricematch site (other than the one already listed here), I'd greatly appreciate it.

edit: It's listed as 0.22mm dot pitch or 0.26mm trio dot pitch, depending on the source. Huh?

Msg editted so as not to offend those who misunderstood my meaning. As I stated below, I do not suggest doing anything deceitful or dishonest.

You just stepped over the line. You are soliciting fraud. Another post like this could be your last on our forums.

Proof of the coupon? I have the number(s) for the coupons. That has usually worked over the phone for me. What do you mean by proof of coupons?

Also, beware that the Staples PM Policy says that coupons and rebates are taken into account. So you might end up with 280 - $30(MIR) - $30(coupon) = $220 net cost (versus $280), which is PM'ed against $149. At 110% of the difference ($78), that makes the monitor:

$201 before rebate/coupon
$181 after coupon (ie, upfront)
$141 after it's all said and done

Hopefully I'm as lucky as SexualChocolate, cuz $120 upfront is just SO SWEET!

Thanks for the find, SC!

edit: Oh, yeah, and they can also add estimated shipping to it. Here's to hoping my local store manager hasn't memorized the PM policy word for word.

Im not sure if that would be legitimate or not. Also I noticed last night that it was on half.com for $199 or $200. if there is any $40 off coupons out there, this would be $30 more but maybe better leverage if they wont pricematch to $149

So you are suggesting us to edit the web page? Why not edit the price to $19 while you are at it?

Do you remember if the one that worked for you was the Compu-America one posted earlier in this thread?

Changing the price would be deceitful, obvously so would removing the word "reconditioned" but my statement was "Since there is already another site offering a non reconditioned one for $149" youre not actualy altering the price. I printed out the one from pricewatch and took it in as is and it worked fine. I do not suggest or recommend doing anything deceitful or dishonest.

It is slightly curved, its not TRUE flat like an LCD or like the trinitron monitors. It has a slight curve to it, not much of one though and its very clear and sharp. I bought the Philps 109b which is a TRUE flat and I do not like even though it was retailed at $100 more than the NEC. Personal preference I guess.

I'm going to try this out tonight I think.

However, I can't seem to find a printable coupon - lots of coupon codes available though via various search engines though.

If anybody knows of a printable version please feel free to PM me the URL etc.

I got a 19" monitor 7 months ago thru OD (KDS 19" $133 AR) which is also not a "flat" screen - can't say I'm too worried about flat or curved - many "flat" screens are simply curved screens with a flat front anyway

I also have a Samsung 900iFT - the cheapo KDS is perfecly good for my gaming/surfing/DVD requirements

I couldnt find a printable either so here is what I have done and did per the managers request at staples. I go online and add the item i want to my cart (in this case the item inst listed so just go online and add anything over $150) then check out and enter in the code which then reflects the coupon amount. Instead of completing the order , I just print off the page which shows the amount of the discount and I take that into the store with me along with the code. Staples has no way of knowing what the codes are or how much they are for so a lot of stores wont take them w/o proof of the amount and thats how I show my proof.

Well I just got one from Staples in Bowling Green.

The total is not going to be $90, it's more but I can live with the total.

The guy at Staples had to call about 3 people to see if the price on the website was right. After that he had to add shipping charges to it. That brought the total up to $204.75 Staples price for the monitor was $279.98 so the %110 of the difference was $82.75.

My subtotal was $197.23 then I added my $30 off $150 purchase coupon. And add 10.03 for Kentucky's 6% sales tax.

The total was $177.26

Then there is the $30 MIR

And that brings my total down to $143.26

I still think that is a good price.

BTW. The monitor is not 100% flat, but very close.

Can anyone link any other sites that have the monitor at a $149 with free shipping or anything under $165 with shipping? Thanks

WOOHOO!!!

After calling for price/stock, I was PM'ed to $149, which is 100%, not 110%, but I wasn't about to press my luck. Then I whipped out the coupon, and bought an $8 mail sorter to bring me over the hump (which I will exchange for some cheap crap later this weekend), and came to a grand total of $136 after taxes and coupon! After returning that dumb mail sorter, I'm looking at $128 after taxes!

Which means $98 after rebate! WOOHOO!!!

...and it looks SO SWEET!

SexualChocolate, you are the man!

Sweet deal man, I actually did get priced matched to 110% so my receipt looks like this.

279.88
110% price guarntee $149 -$144.08

Subtotal $135.90
Staples coupon NO. XXXXX -$30.00
Tax 8.00% $8.47
TOTAL $114.37

so for me after rebate will be $84.37, but I put $90 in the topic since its hard to get 110% since most add $$ for shipping

I just realized they let me use the coupon and my total wasnt even $150 lol

local managers here are sticklers. Add overnight shipping which is to be expected unless you get a naive manager. But the ONLY site i've found with the $149 price linked above is screwy since it says is a UXGA with a .22 dot pitch. Which is odd considering the NEC 95 is .26 and SVGA. Gratz to you who have gotten this

Well here is how it all worked out for me:

Received PM of link (thanks people!)

Printed out the webpage to price match and 30 off 150

Walked into Staples where they have about another 4 left I believe?

Wandered up to the sales desk and asked about the pricematch policy and verification of the price of the NEC 19" as it was not on display or priced.

Cost on screen was $399 reduced to $279.99

So after the very friendly assistant brought the monitor to the checkout we went thru the pricematch routine again and the manager had to be called ( I thought.. "well that's it over now"....).
First question was, "how much is shipping?" - naturally I did not know.
So they added the Staples standard charge of $5 for shipping

Well just as I was about to leave I noticed that they had only applied a 100% pricematch rather than the BOLDLY proclaimed 110% on the top of the receipt!

So back to the sales desk and the whole process was repeated.

So now I have
NEC 19" = $279.98
110% PM = $154.00 (with $5 shipping!)
Deduction= $138.58
Total Price = $141.40

Then they just applied the 30 off coupon (not even at $150) to that amount to result in $118.08 after tax

So that will be $88.08 AR + stamp

A boody good deal I'd say

i was able to work out this monitor down to $169. which was 149 for the pricematch, and $20 for the random "estimated shipping" that i got. even though i showed the manager that if you don't have a shipping, they are supposed to tack on $5, he said that didn't apply to this because it was the 100% pricematch, and not the 110%. 100% for websites, and 110% for b&m retailers. he wasn't willing to budge, so i took what i could get. i worked my butt off for this one.

i have realized two certainties about staples employees. they are crazy a holes or the nicest people you'll ever talk to. i talked to a nice customer service rep, and an a hole manager this time. it was vice versa last time. bravo to the one that got this one posted.
