For those it doesn't work for, do you have a pop up or ad killer? It works fine for me just like the original poster said, click the link, click buy, then hit the back button and click on the pop up 10% discount.

ok I got an email saying that they are still in process and will ship shortly, but it has been a while. Has anyone else had the same thing happen.

I received an email on April 9th:

We are very sorry! The product(s) you've ordered is(are) still in process and will ship shortly. You will receive another e-mail notification when your order has actually shipped.

I responded:

I do not understand why you are very sorry. Are you sorry that my order "will ship shortly"? Or are you sorry that it has not shipped yet?

The next day I received:

Your order has been shipped and your credit card has been charged. Thank for shopping at nm-select.com. We appreciate your business!

So I am assuming my monitor is on its way.

I got it, and there ARE bad pixels. Anybody know what is their policies about this?

yeah mine has one bright blue pixel.. whatsup with that!!!! if you find anything out let me know please!

From the nm-slect.com website, here's their policy on bad pixels:


"Q: What are dead pixels in LCD displays?

A: The manufacturing process for LCD displays requires millions of transistors in each panel. Limitations of the manufacturing process sometimes result in dead pixels. A "dead pixel" can take the form of either a contrast spot or a black spot. A contrast spot appears when a completely gray screen is displayed. A black spot appears when a completely red, green or blue screen is displayed.

Our specifications allow 10 missing dots. But, if there is a cluster of some missing dots, we will consider that depending on colors that are missing and distance between the quantity of missing dots. White paper can be found at http://support.necmitsubishi.com/nec/common/library/white_papers.htm"

I think you have 30 days to return the monitor, but there is a 15% restocking fee.

Mine had zero stuck or dead pixels. This is a very good looking monitor - thanks for the deal.

Gee, this is an expensive experiment. 15% restocking+shipping back+possbile orginal shipping=?????

That sux, I got my 15" lcd1545v from them today, and it's lookin pretty awesome. I've yet to find any defects. The fact it's NEC makes it even better, it's not some off brand type. The price, was too hard to resist. Only thing, is it has a 1 year warranty. hopefully nothin bad happens.

I got two [for dual display setup]. They arrived about 2 weeks after I ordered them. One arrived in perfect working order. . . using it right now. The other's backlight doesn't work and I had to RMA it. Both look new cosmetically.

I used NEC's 1-800 warranty number vs. calling up NM-Select. But from the sounds of it, NM-Select is NEC's warranty service division. I am still waiting on the replacement after giving them CC info 10 days ago to ship the replacement before I send in the bad one. They said that the replacement would have a pre-paid shipping label for me to send the bad one back. At least I won't be out any extra shipping $$.

But the entire RMA process was a hassle. The guy processing the RMA kept asking for my address, etc., over and over [At least 3 times for everything]. He didn't sound foreign, but he acted like he couldn't understand English very well. I had to spell everything to him, [including words like "Avenue", my state, etc. ] I was on the phone for 44 minutes! Errrr. Had a similiar experience with Gateway. . . [Compared to HP or AMD which only average 10 minutes on the phone & 3 days to deliver!]

I got one with bad pixels, called NM-select, after I was given three different 1-800 numbers, finally I reached a department which supposed to handle my case. The CSR took the call was very unhelpful, he just not willing to help me. Of course the result is they can't do anything about it unless there are at least 10 such bad pixels. This is last time I would do business with NEC.
