Go to the NEC's Website and look up top where there's a instant $20 rebate on any Monitor and get the MS95 for $60.99 + shipping {Shipping is not outrageous as mine was $21 to Ohio}...The Specs reads a 1 yr warranty but the Site clearly states it comes with 3

Didn't actually need a new monitor as my 19" is fine, but that's just too cheap to pass up. Cost me $87 shipped, will make one hell of a nice Christmas present for somebody.

I woulda sworn at that price it was a refurbished, but it shows up under the new discontinued section, great find.

No rebates, I'm in. Thanks!

On a side note, isn't NEC going to stop making CRTs?

I almost feel like it'd be dumb not to get this, but then again, I don't know when I'd ever use it. I might try to setup a second computer where I live now, but dunno when I'd get around to that.

Edit - Bought it anyway, may try to setup a computer for my mom. And I'm short a second monitor, but have most of the other necessary pieces.

Perfect timing. I was looking towards just buying an excellent display like the FE991SB-BK from NEC/MITSUBISHI. But this is just too good to pass up. It is just lacking in the aperture grille and max resolution other than that the MS95 seems pretty comparable to the FE991SB-BK. Gonna have to go for it for 80 bucks with shipping and save me $150 on my new system. Very Nice Find!

Nice Find, thanks a lot, ordered two for my multi monitor setup here with the applied discount on one order (guess I could have logged in twice but didn't care to) the final shipped to Saint Louis was $ 178.94 which included shipping of $36.96 for both monitors. I was just getting ready to spend over $200 for one new monitor so this saved me a lot, thanks again.

Holy Moly. I remember when 19" NEC CRTs cost $1500+! A brand-new 19" would make a nice upgrade for this used 17" NEC M700 that I'm currently using.

NEC MultiSync MS95 (White)
Clearance
$80.99 In Stock: Yes

Resolutions Supported:
640 x 480 @ 60 to 160 Hz
800 x 600 @ 55 to 153 Hz
832 x 624 @ 55 to 144 Hz
1024 x 768 @ 55 to 120 Hz
1152 x 870 @ 55 to 105 Hz
1280 x 1024 @ 55 to 89 Hz
1600 x 1200 @ 55 to 76 Hz

16x12 @ 76 - Nice! (This M700 only does 12x10 @ 60.)

Btw, that $20-off rebate expires on 12/15! Get your order in fast if you want one!

Damn... I was going to hold out until I could afford a good flatpanel or two, but I might have to jump on this

Sure beats the hell out of my current 17" at 1280x1024/60 Hz

Hmm, sounds like it's a "FST" screen to me.

Btw, $40 shipping on a huge monitor like this isn't really all that out of line, I don't think.

Edit: I looked up my current monitor, an NEC M700 , and it also claims "flat square technology". While this CRT isn't a "fishbowl", it sure as heck isn't "flat square" either. So I guess I was wrong, it's *not* a "perfectly flat" screen, although it's close to flat.
