Need a cheap progressive scan dvd player. Any suggestions?

Alright, I just got my new Samsung Tantus HDTV today and being as though I could barely afford that, now I'm on an even tighter budget to get a progressive scan dvd player. I'm trying to keep it at under $200 and preferable about $150 if possible. I was looking at some models by samsung, sony, and toshiba all priced at about $200. Any other brands I should look at? Apex makes one for $99. Its not as good as the other ones in name recognition, but it will get the job done.

Panasonic RP-56 or RP-62 Apex drives suck and Samsung drives have to many software issues.

why do you need pulldown, do dvds of films get encoded at 24 fps or sth? also check gameciopyworld.com dvd section for the hackable region zero, and macocopy hacks.

I totally agree. Especially since the pannys have the Sage Faroudja progressive chip (FLI2200) which is supposedly one of the best.

I have the RP-56 and it works really well on my Toshiba 42H81, as far as I can tell. Buydig.com has them for $149 so that's right in your budget. I thought they discontinued these a while ago though? Anyways I think this is what you're looking for. Cheap, and does its job well.
