Need a co-op game

New splinter cell has good coop but ive heard it is buggy for some people.

Eliminating all "sci-fi" games just because they are "sci-fi" is rather stupid. If you could let go of your unexplained hatred for the genre for a minute and actually play the games, you'd see that they are worth your time, and not just garbage because they are "sci-fi."

I play games of all types and genres. my friend is the one that only plays certain type of games.

he's not whiny or a douche. he just isn't interested in certain things. he's not a huge nerd like most of us are.

If you can get him past the whole sci-fi thing, Borderlands would be a good game if you can get past the lack of plot. There's no CD-Key or copy protection so you could just purchase one copy, duplicate the disc, and play it on both of your PCs.

Splinter Cell Conviction has a good co-op mode but everyone is right L4d2 is the way to go for co-op. The whole point of Co-Op is its us vs them and L4D2 does it best outside of Horde mode for gears of war but that is console. Nazi zombies in WaW is fun too.

Well as you probably realized, a co-op modern military shooter that isn't real slow other than the ones you've played is a pretty tall order.

I'd try and get him to play L4D as it's great co-op. Also probably wouldn't be hard to get him to play World at War.

Joint Operations technically fits your requirements but the singleplayer is pretty terrible. Other than that, I'm not sure there's really any other choices out there unless you go back to older games like the earlier Ghost Recon and Rainbow Six games.

Also, COD4 doesn't have co-op...?

we decided on the Splinter Cell: Conviction now, especially since Steam has the sale going. My friend is able to download his copy but I keep getting busy server errors when I try to download my copy.

we both played all of the previous splinter cell games and loved them.

only reason we hadn't done conviction yet was because of the high price.

Conviction seems like its a cool game if we can get past the 1st mission. The fucking game keeps locking up on us before we get to the dude in the sauna. Just found out that my game crashed this last time with a worthless microsoft error.

I can play SP with all settings maxed just fine but as soon as we start a co-op game, my FPS drops down below 10 and the game is near unplayable.

Seems like this game has lots of issues.
