Need a free FTP program

Hello,

I'm new to this FTP stuff but i understand that to host a website you need to have a FTP client so that the files get transfered from your PC to the server hosting the site, right?

Now, i have a one page site which i would like to host. So what free FTP program would you people recommend. Also, spending $$$ to host a one page site is'nt worth so would only appreciate free programs.

That'll do the job. But you do have a server already where you're going to upload these files, right? The FTP client just connects you to a server so you can transfer files you either to have to pay for webspace somewhere, or use one of the many free hosting services.

vsftpd is an ftp daemon, not an ftp client.

Another vote for SmartFTP, I personally have a license for FlashFXP but SmartFTP is a great free ftp client.

Eh, but vsftpd is a good ftp server nonetheless so it was sort of a random prop for it

filezilla...theres also portable filezilla so you can run it off a flash drive!

thats the one i use. simple and free.
