Yes, this is the first time Intel doesn't bundle a cooler, although they do offer one specifically for s2011 cpu's separately:

As you can see it's an all-in-one watercooler and it's quite expensive.
I wouldn't choose the Dynatron, it has a 92mm fan which will be noisy. The above recommended Coolermaster 212 is indeed very hard to beat for it's price. However, it might not be the quietest solution in case your friend does very cpu intensive tasks for prolonged periods of time.
Personally I would probably go for the Thermalright True Spirit 140:

It's a bit more expensive but the fan is really good, pushing lots of air at very modest sound levels. It's also fairly slim so it doesn't block memory slots.
If you want the best of the best and money is no object there are 4 coolers which are basically equal performing, but these will block memory slots on s2011 boards:
