Subject pretty much says it all...I'm looking for an inexpensive keyboard to replace the ones currently in use on our production floor. The keyboards are actually very-light use in our process, but mousing can be a bit of a pain, so I'd like an integrated pointing device or touch tablet. I've searched around, but I''ve encountered the following problems:
- many are wireless. I specifically don't want this, as I don't wish to maintain batteries.
- awkward pointing device location (primarily on touch tablets) located below the space bar makes for an odd-shaped keyboard - won't work well on a keyboard arm.
- too expensive. As I said, these are very light use. I don't want to (can't) spend $100-$200 per keyboard.
So - any suggestions on something inexpensive, wired, and with some sort of pointing device integrated, in a somewhat "normal" keyboard form-factor?
Thanks!
