y don't u just order a paper feed roller kit from hp's site?.....lot cheaper than $150 bux and it'll fix ur feed problem

I want to use WiFi on a notebook to connect to the printer via my wireless router without needing my desktop on.

Notebook <Wifi> Router <ethernet> printer server <lpt> printer

Mine works, most of the time. I think the problem is that it attaches directly to the centronics port on the printer. On the Lexmark e210 that means the led's are face down. I have had some connectivity issues with it which I think relate to the pressure it puts on the centronics port.

will definitely solve the problem......and they definitely have them....just take a look at this link and you will find what you need....believe me, we have hp laserjet 4's in our office w/close to 500,000 prints on them......all it needs is a printer maintenance kit w/some feed rollers

odd, i feel like getting rid of mine =P

anyway, the 1440 is a cheap printer, and it works according to users. i got myself a $400 samsung 2150 which can do duplex printing and has a paper tray. it replaced my slower and older 6Lse.

$40 for a kit. I'm going to pick up a used LaserJet for only $60, so I'll stick with that.

keep in mind...."used" is a loose term....it may come to you in need of the same type kit that yours is in need of....what if you get it, open it up, install it, and then it is jamming just like yours?......then you're back to square one......you need to find out just how "used" the printer is....i.e. how many prints does it have on it.....printers are like cars, buying a used one can be very dangerous if you don't know the mileage

The one I was looking at already had the paper roller kit installed (and came with an extra toner), but thanks for the advice. My current printer is about ~7-8 years old, with lord knows how many prints on it.
