I currently use a Logitech G7, this is my 3rd one and this one has yet again started to have the stupid double click issue, i can send it in and they will send me a new one for free, but I think I?m done with it. Same stupid issue over and over

Anyway I really like the form factor of this mouse, its very comfortable in the hand even when gaming for long hours. so something similar would be great. I however don?t have any idea what is good

Something from razer? another Logitech? It does not have to be wireless

Logitech G5 sir. The blue cracked looking one may look weird, but it keeps your hands from sweating, and paint rubbing off is not an issue. It has two thumb buttons, weight control, and on the fly dpi settings that go up to 2000. Smooth tracking even on crappy mouse pads.

Try the Razer Deathadder. Soft feel on the hand and perfect weight. Used a mx510 before...best mouse ever! Never really liked any of the new logitechs that came out. Check out any of the Razer, but I have really started to love the adder.

Dont bother with any of these unless you like cheap nasty mice for a premium price.

i tried the MX rev after using a MX1000 and it was horrible, terrible lag in games and very stuttery round the desktop, i sent it back and bought a Razer Deathadder and its amazing.

Once you go Razer, you'll wonder how Logitech stays in business.

The DeathAdder isn't the perfect weight, but I do agree that it is a good mouse.

thanks for the suggestions, currently im useing a Razer Lachesis i got from a buddy whos comp is dead and he cant game on his lappy, letting me use it till i order a new one

i cant say im very fond of it so far, it could be simpley because im not used to it being a different shape then my old G7 but my hand is not comfortable on it currently, this might just be because its new and i have to get used to it and the change in button placement. is the Deathadder the same shape as this one or is it more like the Logitech i used to have, i cant really tell looking at pics online

if i dont like this i might just go with a G5, basicially the same as a G7 just wired

You'll get used to it. Like I said, it took me a bit to warm up to it, but the build quality I believe is superior to LT. I like how both buttons are basically the entire top of the mouse. The deathadder is definitely not the same shape as the 510/518...it doesn't arc up as high into your palm. Keep using it; it'll grow on ya.

There's also the Logitech G9 which looks a bit odd, but is honestly the most comfortable mouse I've used. It makes it impossible to use the MX Revolution it replaced.

Why recommend logitech again when he keeps having problems with a logitech mouse? How is a different logitech mouse going to help any if the quality of the their mice are poor?

They work fine because they're that old. In the recent past (few years ago?), Logitech has shifted from manufacturing quality products to skimping on components and simply beefing up their customer support department to deal with the inevitable increase in duds. When I called them to replace my first wireless keyboard (the next 3 they sent me died as well, all within a few months) they could have won a politeness award. It was all I could do to keep them from sending me the shirt off their back along with my free replacement (they covered shipping). Then I realized why.

Razer mice are awesome, I used to own a Deathadder and loved it. I wanted to try a Lachesis but I don't know what held me back. Although I have to say I like my G9 more than my Deathadder in counterstrike :Q.

Because it could be a problem with that specific model. Personally I've never had any quality issues with Logitech Mice or products or had them die in an unreasonably short amount of time. But if for whatever reason it does fail, its nice knowing they have an excellent warranty and RMA policy, which is more than I can say for other companies in the industry. If you look hard enough, you'll find problems with any product, even the alternatives mentioned in this thread (the various Razers).
