Need a new mouse

Hi everyone,

I guess this thread should be in here, but not really sure. Anyway, I need a new mouse.

I've been using a Razer Copperhead for about 4 years and it's recently started having issues turning itself off or double clicking the right mouse button - quite annoying when trying to scope on BF3.

My requirements are as follows:

- Must be able to have easily selectable 800 (on foot BF3), 1600 (in a tank) and 2000+ (general use/other games) dpi settings
- 4 programmable buttons (I currently use the two thumb buttons for crouch and grenades and the right buttons for DPI up/down)
- Ideally adjustable weight - I'd like to try this out as I always felt the Copperhead was a little too light

My budget is up to £45 (no more really). So far I've been tempted by the Logitech G500, Saitek Cyborg R.A.T 5 and the CoolerMaster Sentinel Zero-G.

Check out the new Corsair mice, they are really nice and I believe their DPI switch will fit all your needs.

I love my G500, it's a great mouse that feels perfect in my hand and I have had no issues with it so far.

To the best of my knowledge, the g500's are not weighted. I'm fairly certain my wife has one. I like the G9x, but I believe that may be out of your range for the moment.

I have G500 and absolutely love it, its perfect. It comes with adjustable weights. It will meet ALL your requirements

The Mionix Naos 5000 is a great mouse: two right buttons, and two DPI buttons.

Ergonomically, the mouse rocks.

im not sure if theres a bluetrack mouse with all those features you want, but i kid you not- nothing i have ever used comes close to bluetrack quality. microsoft nailed it imo, its tracking is so rock solid on awkward surfaces it makes a joke out of most other mice.

if you claw, the logitech g9x has removable weights and excellent tracking, however, it only has two side buttons

I would again say G500, its not wireless though

- 4 programmable buttons (I currently use the two thumb buttons for crouch and grenades and the right buttons for DPI up/down) - Check, 10 programmable buttons
- Ideally adjustable weight - I'd like to try this out as I always felt the Copperhead was a little too light - Check, can hold upto 6 x 45g. comes with 6 45g and 6 17g weights.

Besides, it has the Dual-mode scroll wheel, which I absolutely love, comes in very handy. The wheel just keeps rotating until you stop... awesome...
