I've ordered from eWiz three times over 9 months w/o issue. The packaging could be better but many of the cheapest vendors box things like that. I just got an order from DigitalFotoClub that was packaged with those air bags. *shrugs*

I can understand your anger over this RMA. Two years ago Newegg gave me the run around and I have only ordered one item from them since. To this day I'd place an order with any other vendor but Newegg, they are the Wallmart of comp hardware vendors and as such are evil.

I'd order from eWiz today if they had what I needed at thier very cheap price.

Your opinion is fine, but neweggs resellerating on returns is far better.

I shouldve known better in the 1st place and went with an item from newegg or zzf.

eWiz has a history of this crap.

Damn, sorry to hear of your troubles.

As I said, I've shopped there a bit, probably 6,7,8 orders over the last year. Aside from packaging, not a problem.

But I never had an RMA and their handling of this is simply unacceptable. I'll definitel think twice before ordering with them again. Saving a few bucks isn't worth this hassle.

Wow, Ewiz has mostly good reviews on sales, but very bad at support.

I guess I will never order from them because I do not want to go through what you are if I have a problem with a product.

Good service before and after a sale is worth a few bucks more.

I completely agree, this is the worst customer service i have ever experienced.

Email'em this thread OP.

I ordered an Asus 6200 passive AGP and two Super Talent 80X, 1gb, CF cards($23.69 each)
on 8/1, recieved on 8/3. No complaints or issues. Never RMAed to eWIZ but did try once
to Newegg several years ago and they screwed me. I avoid The Egg for that reason.

I bought a HD from ewiz last year. After reading this, I'll NEVER buy anything from them again. I'm sure it breaks their black hearts... but hey, if enough of us band together to stick it to these bastards, maybe they'll get the message.

EDIT: Oh, BTW, I'm also on board for the Citgo (gasoline) boycott. Why? Citgo is owned by that Venezuelan dickhead dictator, Chavez, so that (and $3/gal prices) are all the reasons I need. We have to start somewhere, right?

I highly recommend getting an UPS if you haven't already. When I was in college and lived in the dorms I had a few quality PSUs and other components go bad. I tested our power with a multimeter and I saw the voltage go as low as 90V a few times and as high as 140V. I had similar issues at my next apartment. I purchased an APC BackUPS Pro 1100 from Sams Club for ~$120. I have had it for four years and had 1 PSU go bad. It was an Antec Truepower 430. It wasn't quiet enough for me so I replaced the fans with quieter ones. The PSU lasted 2.5 years before the caps exploded and the PSU became unstable. Given the higher temps I caused I can't complain.

Now I run UPS on all of my computers. I have experienced noticably less instability and hardware failures. It may just be that I am doing a better job planning things out and components are getting better, but I'll give at least some credit to the UPS. In the long term I think they have saved me money.

I've completed roughly 50 RMA's thru Newegg over the last 4 years and they have never let me down. Even if I had a bad experience I know that I could call in for a positive solution.

[*]I receive emails when they initially receive the RMA pkg and another once they open it up
[*]If the exact item is OOS for good they give you the choice of a similar item or a refund
[*]Restock fee can be waived if you speak with a CSR 99% of the time
[*]Usually if an item is DOA or arrives defective Newegg will pay for return shipping

I deal with a lot of Tier 1 companies and Newegg has the fastest and most efficient RMA out of any that I deal with.

Acanthus, since reading the resellerratings posts about RMA issues, I am glad that
the need for one never arose.

Please do email this thread to eWIZ, letting them know it will stay on the opening page
of this forum, until you have resolution.

The email i just sent to sales@ewiz.com (the header contained the RMA#)

Whats the deal guys?

If you dont have the power supply in stock and wont for quite some time couldnt you just credit me so i could order a different one?

You have made no attempts to contact me, even though my RMA is now nearly 50 days old.

Is there no way we can resolve this?

If there is an issue with this proposal please let me know, but this is getting obscenely rediculous.

There is a thread going at anandtech.com on my current experience with you guys on this order...

http://forums.anandtech.com/messageview...&STARTPAGE=1&FTVAR_FORUMVIEWTMP=Linear

And i will be leaving a resellerrating when this is resolved.

I agree. Over the last two years I've spent about $1100 at eWIZ w/o issue of any kind.

My only complaint is thier poor packaging. UPS has never destroyed any of the goods however.
