Need a recomendation for a good wirless keyboard and mouse

I am using a Logitech comfort wireless keyboard and mouse currently. It was a cheap combo way back when.

Anyway the lag it starting to drive me a little nuts. Especially in games.

Can anyone out there recommend or have a wireless mouse and keyboard that does not have any lag.

I can definitely recommend the Logitech G7. No lag at all. I just got an MX Revolution, and it's been giving me problems though (see my thread above).

you'll never get 0 lag with wireless - thus far there has always been inherent latency with wireless devices when compared to their wired counterparts

now if you're getting lag spikes and just want stable connection then you have options

For the mouse, Logitech G7 as said above. I don't have too much experience w/ wireless keyboards though.

I'd also like to know if there's a good wireless keyboard out there. I haven't found a single wireless keyboard that doesn't lag when you type above ~70 wpm.

I say get a G7 along with the wired G11 or G15 kb and be done with it.

Might as well get a wired mouse if you get a wired keyboard, the G11/15 have a USB port for such use. Wireless is simply not ideal for gaming.

Eh, the USB on my G15 is pretty crap. It's USB 1.1 and my MX518 lags if I plug it in there. I mean, it has it's uses, but a mouse is not one of them.

USB 1.1 is capable of fullspeed (12Mbps) of which no mouse on the market requires or is even capable of anything more.

My guess is you've convinced yourself otherwise to think you're getting lag because there is no way you're going to saturate even USB 1.1 with a keyboard and mouse - and such a setup would easily be better/faster than any wireless KB+mouse.

Heck, I run something similar with my old MX510 on a crappy old IBM keyboard with built in USB ports. No lag. I even have the polling rate increased to 500Hz for the MX510 (which can only operate at 430Hz max) and it performs the same as it does plugged into its own dedicated port on the computer - perfectly.

If you aren't fooling yourself then something is wrong with your setup.

I didn't notice any lag on my Logitech mx3000 keyboard. The mouse that came with it (mx600) was laggy though. I used a G7 instead.
I just got a Microsoft Desktop 6000 v2 set and it is NOT good for gaming! I did't expect the mouse to be, but I was hoping the keyboard would be at least as good as the mx3000 (far from it!).
