I suggest Opeth - Moonlapse Vertigo
I has an intense progressive intro with a mundane midpoint that becomes heavy guitar riffs and growling.
It later transitions into a smooth soft acoustic guitar interlude which transitions again into a heavy guitar solo and all smooth out with a progressive heavy guitar ending that is sung with soft voices.

I suppose I should elaborate on my earlier post... Infected Mushroom is an Israeli psy trance duo. One guy runs the mixers and does drums and such, while the other one, who has been playing piano since age 3, weaves tens and sometimes hundreds of complex synthesizer tracks in and out of each other. The end result is an insanely complex, yet stupidly simple song. Some of their stuff is a little more mundane than the others.
