Okay,
The built in sound of my new MSI-648 Max L just isn't doing it for me. It isn't horrible. It just isn't good. Muddy as hell actually. (Little hard to tell for sure until I get my WHINY cpu fan swapped out.)
I REALLY liked the sound of my previous nforce board. Easily the best sound I've heard coming from a computer.
Looking at my options it looks like the Hercules Digifire 7.1 for $50 (after rebate), the turtle beach one for $70 or the Audigy 2 for $99 (after rebate).
Recomendations?
It would kind of irk me to pay more for my sound card than I did for my motherboard but I think the only card that is going to come close to what I want is the Audigy 2.
