The Best Buy ones have been OOS on those for a while now.
I got in on the Staples deal. That was actually a really good price. I'm in charge of our backup power systems at work, and 1285VA should get you a good 1-1 1/2 hours on your computer. However, what I'm using it for is emergency power. I'll power an LED light, a cell phone charger, and a radio for several hours. Great for storm prone areas!

Ya don't say? My bro has a 42" plasma and living in the PNW you never know when the power will go out cuz of a tree limb on a line or something. Think it would be enough to power his plasma? I might suggest he go get one if so.

My 50" Plasma is 480 watts. Look up his model and see how much power it draws. VA -> wattts is roughly 60% of the VA rating, so 1285 x .6 = 771 watts. Shouldn't have any problems in a brown-out.
