My old specs:
Abit bx6 rev2, celery 300A to 450, QR bios (latest), 128 PC133, Creative 16M AGP TNT (original), sound blaster live, 13GB maxtor hd.

Just bought a P3 600E(100FSB) that can overclock to 800(133FSB). I can't find my abit manual, so based on my memory at 133fsb, I can only choose 1/4 PCI and 2/3 AGP. is this correct? can my old reliable TNT handle that? if not can Radeon LE? how about my pci component?

Share your abit experience please.

thanx.

The 133fsb runs with 1/4 divider and yes, you should set the agp to 2/3.

I don't know about the tnt, but I believe I've heard that the nvidia based cards oc well in general. I'd try it. If you can get Prime95 to run stable for a few hours, then you know the processor is working fine. If some hi rez games still crash on you, then I'd begin suspecting the tnt, but not before. A radeon would be fine, I think, but others will have to confirm.

At 1/4 divider the pci is on spec @ 33 mhz so you should not have pci problems.

Biggest problem to look out for is temp. Keep it under 40c for the RT2 cpu temp if possible. Remember that the thermistor must be taped to the underside of the heatsink as close to the cpu as possible.

Actually, until about the GeForce cards, the nVidia from before didn't handle the high fsb's too well. My tnt2 wouldn't handle 133mhz FSB on 2/3 agp (it can ONLY be 2/3 on BX boards (like ur BX6)), too well, not sure bout the TNT, but just try it and see what happens.

I have a BX6r2 and my old TNT2 Ultra didn't like anything over about 75MHz. I used to run a C400 @ 500 and had to set the AGP to 2/3, so I was actually underclocking the AGP bus. My GF2 runs fine at 88 AGP. Most post-TNT2/V3 cards seem tolerant of higher AGP speeds.

Having said that, I was recently upgrading a P200 system for a friend to a K6-2+500 and a PCI Radeon SDR. I stuck the Radeon PCI in my rig just for laughs, and I could get into Windows at 138 FSB whereas I couldn't even POST with the AGP card at that speed. So that tells me that at least MY GF2 doesn't like anything much over 88 AGP.
