need advice on digital camera

i looking for digital camera for my friend...she doesnt need anything fancy...just need a quality camera for realtively cheap...i was looking at the DSC-P32 Cyber-shot Digital Camera or the Canon Powershot A300...i was wondering what other people thought about these two or any other camera that might be good

The Sony has a little better low light focusing (like indoors), and the Canon has a little better color fidelity.
If size isn't an issue, the Canon A70 has the most bang for the buck.

FUJI FinePix FP2650 Zoom 2.0MP Digital Camera

Pick one of these up for about $150 or so. Good solid camera.

I'm kind of partial to Canon myself. Best digital cameras period. Great film cameras also.

yeah i like canons too...but these two seem to have the same features and ratings but the sony one is almost $50 bucks cheaper....and price is a deal something under 200

Don't forget media type in your price equations.. Canon uses compact flash which is significantly cheaper in higher capacities than any other format out there.
