Hi There,

Am planing to make a gaming rig.
If you have any suggestion do let me know.

As off now I have only zeroed down to the processor
"AMD Phenom? II X3 720 Black Edition 3.8GHz AM3" OR
"AMD Phenom? II X4 810 2.6GHz Socket AM3" which fits my pocket.

My Budget is about $600-$800.

Please if you have any suggestions do share it.

Firstly- You are in the wrong forum for this type of question. This is more a general build question and should go into the General Hardware forum. I suggest you read some of the stickies.

Secondly, I would rethink your logic concerning the AMD processors.

Microcenter has the Q9550 for 159.99
Grab a Gigabyte P45 board for 120
4 gigs of g.skill for 40-60
1tb WD Black for 70-80
Decent PSU for like 60-80 (650w+)
Decent Case for 60-80

Thats 600 on the upper end of those prices.

Then toss in a graphics card flavor. 4870 or gTX 260 for ~150

750 and then grab a good deal on a keyboard combo
Use your old monitor till you find a steal on black friday
Use your older copy of vista or XP (or just your old HD)

and regarding the rid....I forgot to tell you I am just building CPU....got the rest

so I am just looking for:

Mother Board[something I can use and upgrade for another 2 year],
Processor[My Choice was AMD Phenom X4 810],
Ram[Probably DDR3],
Graphic Card[with "Shader Model 3.0"],
PSU [also, can you explain how to determine how many watt psu to get for a particular rig...in other word what basis do u determine],
CPU Fan[Anything particular....not too costly tho]
