Need an umbrella

Anybody know of a personal sized umbrella that can withstand boston wind gusts? I have purchased 3 umbrellas all of which inverted and ripped off when I went outside to get groceries this morning

i have one that cost 50$ and it can take it, i live in boston as well

its also huge as its about 4 feet across

Do you think any random "wind-vented" umbrella will serve its duty? I dont want to spend 40$ on something that will break in 5 seconds

most of the wind vented ones are pretty strong, just look at it in the stoor and see how its braced underneeth, the one i have is made so its actually impossiable for it to flip

jackets dont keep my hair from gettin soaked. The wind is so strong that it instantly removes any hood. Hats get soaked through very quickly.

Haha :thumbsup:, I purchased the same kind at my college bookstore in PA as well. It's a rather massive 4 feet across and the handle is made out of pretty heavy wood.

In general, you should get an umbrella has has one of those pointy tips at the top, has a handle made out of some heavy substance like wood, and one that when opened, resembles an upside down bowl instead of being kind of flat. When it's flat, it acts like the wings of an airplane and becomes inverted when the gusts are heavy enough.

Can you try one of those Golf umbrellas from Wilson, Nike, etc? They're really nice.

yo, you cannot go wrong with a shedrain... company based in Oregon... though like everyone else, has to outsource the actual manufacture to overseas.

mine has last about over 4yrs. heavily wind resistant and strong. best umbrella i've owned and so glad I made the purchase. rubber handle or mahogany... synthentic i think. about 35bucks.

i remember ebags or something had it but didn't buy from them, bought directly.
