Careful. If you have a political science teacher, you're going to get owned. Paul's positions look odd from a top level, but they're deeply rooted in Austrian Economics, consistent fiscal conservatism, and a strict representation of the US Constitution. Political Science teachers would be very keen on spotting holes on arguing against Paul.
So for example, Paul strictly believes in the Constitution. Therefore, he strictly believes that anything not granted in terms of power to the Federal Government (granted to states) he will oppose it at a Federal level. He's extremely principled, so if a bill comes in that has a ton of good ideas in it, and it also contains a small section that is unconstitutional, he will vote against it.
