Need Case Suggestions

I'm going to be building a computer relatively soon, and I was hoping that folks in here would have some suggestions to fit my criteria in the matter of case selection. I'm using an Antec Sonata II right now, and I'm quite happy to have a case with a lower noise level, but my next rig will probably need more cooling.

So I'm looking for something that's quiet, has good air flow, and I would prefer something that looks nice as well. Price is of little concern since this box should be with me for several years. The rig will be something along the lines of a AMD64X2 6000+ AM2, dual NVIDIA 8800 GTX in SLI (Here's hoping my wife isn't reading these forums soon, heh heh heh), 2 CD/DVD drives, 3 harddrives, so I will need something in which the video cards in particular will be capable of fitting.

I probably won't be overclocking much, so there's no need for liquid cooling or having enough fans to create a wind tunnel sufficient for prototyping experimental wing configurations.

That's basically everything. If you have some questions, please let me know. I'm really looking forward to seeing some of the cases that other people are enthusiastic about!

8800GTX cards will be a bit cramped in an antec 900 - nice case if not for that. I like the Silverstone Temjin 5 (SST-TJ05), The Tt Eureka, the original Stacker (STC-T01), the XClio Windtunnel, the iStar Nitro/Storm 10000L (the one that'll hold EATX mobos, if you get the 10000 w/o the L on the end, the GTX cards won't fit) and if you'd rather put your money into guts than container, the Rosewill R5600 series. I just put my system back into my R5604 from the Aerocool Coolview it had been occupying for the last couple of months. It's a dandy case and you won't be tripping over it everywhere you go - it has 11" of measured card space and no one needs to know that it only cost $55.00... See my review here: http://www.TechIMO.com/reviews/ under cases.

Another option is the Chenbro SR10568/69 workstation case. A really serious box for not too much money at eWiz.com.

Hey Zepper...

Would a BFG GeForce 8800GTS fit into that Rosewill R5604 case on a Asus P5B Deluxe MB ?

I'm also looking at the Lian Li PC-60BPlusII ATX-Mid case...again, could that case handle that big video card?

Thx for any help...

the new Gigabyte Aurora II is great, I like the look of the first one a bit better, but this one has more space and can fit 8800's with ease.

linky

one thing I like about it, it comes with both a window and a mesh panel for the side, so if you want a window good, if not you can swap it out for a mesh one that'll give you more air flow.
have heard the fans are a bit loud, but you said price wasn't an issue. So you could replace them for cheap with something better.

looks are a personal preference but I think the Aurora's are sexy, and the reviews I've read all seem to love it. There are a few places that have them for about $20 less then Newegg. This is gonna be the next case I get.

Mojaveron...

Is that Lian Li case big enough to handle a BFG GeForce 8800GTS(640mb) card?

Wow guys, a plethora of options. Precisely what I wanted! I was hoping to squeak by with a mid-tower, but it seems everyone thinks I'll have to go full again. I haven't had one of those since my server days in the late 80s heh.

Anyway, thank you very much for the wonderful choices. Some great looking cases in here...

Looper,
. Yes the 8800GTX/GTS (aren't the GTS boards smaller? - Yes they are 9" vs 10.5") will fit on any ATX mobo in the 5600 series. The Tt SViking also uses the same chassis if you want something different.

the third review on the Newegg site stated, the Lian Li. PC-A16A is a Really nice case. A little wider than normal cases. Great air flow. My 8800GTS fits fine. You would have to move the HD cage up to get a GTX in.
