I just put all my new crap in a CoolerMaster 330. I want to know what everyone thinks and what i should do. i tried hiding as much wires as i could. I'll be adding a Fan Controller in my 2nd 5.25" bay next week when it gets here.

Specs:
-P4 prescott 3.0ghz
-1.5gb ddr2 400
-x850xt PE PCI-e 256mb
-500watt psu

Current Idle Temps:

CPU: 33 C
Aux: (?) 46 C
HD: 31 C
GFX: 32 C
System: 30 C

Current Gaming Temps:

CPU: 46-51 C
AUX: 46 C
HD: 33 C
GFX: 50-60 C
System: 30-35 C

Here are some pictures that show the insides and airflow:

Looks great to me! I think with that many fans you'll be absolutely set for airflow and you can probably afford to drop them all to nice quiet speeds. Your temperatures are definitely nice, because that's a relatively hot CPU/vid card

If you want to improve the airflow further, try getting a Scythe Kama Bay. It will fit a 120mm fan into three of your 5.25" bays and will provide almost double the airflow (given that you use something faster than the stock 800 RPM fan that's included with it) of that 80 mm.

Yeah i'm getting a 3.5" fan controller and i'm going to zip tie a 120mm fan where i put the 80.

My advice is to buy some earplugs.

What is this obsession with intake fans? I have 2 80mm exhaust fans (and I'd have 1x120 if I had a case that could handle it), and they cause a silent sucking of air in through the bottom front grill. I want air coming in through the bottom, because low air is cooler than high air. To test my airflow, I put a Panaflo 120mm in the front there for a week and got the exact same temps, plus a good 5db.

I'd start with 1 exhaust fan, and start adding fans from there. When the temps stop dropping, stop adding more fans!! You can only move air out of there so fast before you're just creating more turbulence and therefore noise, and a quality exhaust fan is going to serve you much better than an intake.

i won't need the earplugs when my fan controller is here. ill turn the fans down when im just doing basic computing and turn them up when im gaming. i wear headphones anyway.

and i thought more cold air intakes would be better than having just 1. should i make the one on the side panel exhaust?

Yes, it is easy enough, but why? you mentioned it's a dell so you can't be overclocking. Does it freeze or crash because of heat? Your temps are good comparatively speaking. The case looks real good but you seem to be adding noise to your system for no real gain.

Really? "Any advice"?

Get a Northwood!

Look, I'm loaded! I can run anything I want -- and I'm running a P4 Northwood 3.06 Ghz.

Idle Temps typically about the same as your Prescott, but load temps typically are only 10C higher.

Either that, or forget about the temp...
