I'm planning on buying an Amd 64 3500+ 939 chipset and was wondering what kind of cooling would be best. I don't really care about the noise, but quietier is always better. And price isn't much of a concern. I'm not really looking into water cooling yet, but maybe in the future. So any suggestions on some nice heatsinks?

Since you mentioned "quieter is better" i suggest you first look at Zalman's CNPS-7700.Otherwise the XP-120 and 90 are also good choices.

Agreed. XP-120 with nexus 120 real silent fan would give a really nice performance and is propably as silent as you can go with air (although the fan would need a slight modification so that it can be fitted to the heatsink). However XP-120 doesn't fit every case and motherboard. Zalman is easier and cheaper solution and almost as good in performance/silence

If the case alows it I use a rocket, otherthen the odd appearence I get 36-39 on a a8n my research found that it did better the zalman but was noiser although the xp120(with 2 fans) was better then the rocket. The stock HSF is acutally decent from what i have read but i took it apart and use it cool the chipset.

Also just read in the DFI forum that you cannot use the xp120 with there board something to do with the dimm slots.
