Need CPU Fan help plZ

damn i just broke the zif socket piece that holds my cpu fan down!! Anyway i can rig something up that will hold the fan down on the cpu without falling off? I have the AMD k6-2 550 so i never plan on taking the cpu HS/Fan off so any permanent suggestions welcome

Use Frag tape.

Or what kind of baord do you got. If I can find a pic of it I could figure something out.

just a soyo 5ema+ board...i want to permanently attach the fan to it...can i use thermal paste? or compound? which one is the permanent solution?

Can can permanently attach the heat sink to the cpu by putting some thermal compund between the heatsink and cpu, and then epoxing the heatsink to the fan on the sides. Epoxy is very strong and will withstand the temperature. J.B. weld would also work on the sides. Once a heatsink is attached, you can screw any fan on top of it. That way, you can still replace the fan if it stops working, using the same heatsink.

Or you can just use Arctic Silver Thermal Epoxy. It actually is better then normal Arctic Silver.
