Spend all your money on a subwoofer.

Let's say hypothetically you got two 2ohms 1500W speakers.

Connect them in series to yield 4ohms. Since you have two of them, the total power is 3000W.

W=V^2 /R

R x W=V^2

4 x 3000=12,000=sqrt that, 109.5445V

You simply hook it up to a 110V AC 60Hz source and you have a 3,000W continous power bass.(you'll need a 30A breaker)

check out the power chart of the 13w7. 2000 watts into a sub! :Q

Anycase the 13" is there biggest for this sub, and considering i have heard their psat subs, I know you will be able to hearthis coming down the street. Friend of mine had the 3 *" w6 ina seal box with a 450 watt amp driving them. I heard him turning the corder down the street. And these where 8" subs. The sound quality was very good has well. Nice clean and tight bass. But with that budget of 1000 bucks I am not sure you can get more then one speaker and a monster amp to push them. PPI would be my choice has they usualy push past their rated power.

Umm jerboy, You want current to push the subs, not voltage. You loose linear control when you go with voltage.

<< ummmk...lemme another stab at this. I have two 15"S that are loud, and hit the notes hard, but to me, sound loose. Cars pass by that have earth shattering bass...that's what i'm looking for. Considering my subs sound loose, i'd like for them to have a crisp sounding bass line (tight punch) AS WELL AS being super loud. I have alotted around $1000 to invest and would appreciate any suggestions for speaker/amp combos. I have around $1000 in my last system, but i bought the box on my last setup. This time, i'll probably end up making my own sealed box instead of a ported.

thanks again

If you are looking for crisp bass you are going to need to add 8s or 10s. The larger the sub, the further away you need to be to hear it. if you are in the car the 15s my not hit "that hard", but three cars away people are going nuts. My suggestion is to add the 8s or 10s to your existing set up.

JBL BP1200.1

<<
The bass almost made me throw up once.

Powerfull enough to split open the Earths crust.

Eats batteries like popcorn

Makes my trunk sound like it is literally about to explode

bring the seat down so the A/C CAN COOL IT

I can't hardly breath in my Jeep
>>

JBL BP1200.1-$265

The amp is 1 ohm stable so you can run 4 4ohm subs in parallel. You might need to upgrade your alternator. Almost certainly you'll need a cap.

you will want to buy two of these D class amps 500 RMS at 12v at 2 ohm. here

subs don't really matter, however, i recommend something along the lines of two of these here

that will give you about 1000 watts rms MINIMUM ( as they rate their amps at 12.1 volts ). this total setup will cost 900 dollars plus shipping wires, etc. something this loud you can't turn up loud in the winter or you will break your glass.

( personally i have those two subs powered by a mtx 2300, puts about 600 rms into the speakers. for those speakers i recommend a 1 cubic foot box.

Just have enough respect for people that you don't go driving through residential areas with it all the way up.

To all the pussies who are badmouthing this guy: He didn't ask for your opinion and I really don't think he wants it...

Get out of the thread and quit being such babies - the guy's gonna do exactly as he pleases no matter what you say.
