It is a useful gift, though. Immediate benefit for the next day.

Not the cheesy stuff you get in a mall kiosk. A real English pewter flask, and no initial engraving. That adds complexity without value. Something like this is what I have in mind...

Alternatively, you could get quaich. That's the historic lugged Scottish drinking cup. Customarily, you'd offer guests a dram in quaich. For more modern use, it's a nice looking thing, and can be used to keep change in, or other small items. It's a symbol of hospitality...

I got my groomsmen stag Case pocket knives.
I doubt they liked them, but I am known for always carrying a pocket knife, so it seemed to fit.

Can't do the flashlight or leatherman because all my friends are city slickers that have no use for tools or superpowered flashlights.

The gifts you are showing are much much less than $150-200.

That tie is going to be unusable unless you work rodeo/circuses.

A pretty good friend lol. I borrowed some money from him a couple years ago to pay off a medical bill, that was sorta his fault. The kicker is, he said he would pay me back and then moved out of state a couple weeks ago. LOL

when i was a groomsman for my sisters wedding, i got a $5 wall bottle opener. i spent around $500 on dinner and lap dances (for the groom) for his bachelor party, $120 on the tux rental, and $150 on a gift. math didn't quite add up...

i've had good and bad experiences, but this was by far the worst.
