Our campus has *finally* decided to replace their old PBX phone system, and started rolling out VOIP phones I was given a headset to use with my old phone, but it didn't work very well, and I was never able to find a compatible replacement. Now that the VOIP phones are going out, hopefully I can...
I'm partially deaf in the left ear, and completely so in the right. That said, I can hear on the phone just fine. The problem with the headset I have (some Plantronics model...don't remember the specific model #, though) is that it's designed, by default, to fit on the user's right ear - which doesn't do me any good at all. Now, this thing is supposed to be reversible but, at least in my case, that didn't work so well: Reversing the ear-hook flips the entire headset unit over, which A) reverses the volume control, and B) flips the speaker up & away from the center of the ear. The first issue is simply annoying, but the second one made the headset just about useless. So I was wondering if anybody had any suggestions?
I would prefer a wireless set up, and if I could get a Bluetooth unit that would work with my cell as well as my desk phone, that would be even better. Any ideas?
Thanks!
Nathan
