Mike i beat you too it, also SLI isnt really a great idea because of negative scaling, extra heat, more power, SLI profiles, and driver issues. A larger SINGLE card makes more sense. Do two 560ti's out class a single 570? Yes, but in some games it performs worse because the game doesnt support SLI or the drivers dont support the game. It also means you NEED to have a motherboard that has 2 PCIe slots (more costly) and a bigger powersupply (another cost).You're gonna be able to get an absolutely beast system for that money.

On a side note, while the HAF X is a nice case (I love it myself) it isnt very useful in a build like this, the HAF X is useful if getting VERY large graphics cards (GTX 590 or AMD HD 6990) or you are using an E-ATX motherboard.

Updated my post once again.Oh and the SSD you recommended is 24nm NAND and right now OCZ is having Write speed issues with their new NAND. The drive i linked uses 34nm and is much more reliable!
Yeah but if the OP is looking at the best performance at his price range and doesn't want SLI than a GTX 580 is his best option...Mike, while the GTX 580 is a good GPU, it doesnt warrant the $500 price tag as seen here it gives a 10% gain in performance but for a 62% gain in cost!

mnewsham's build isn't bad by any means; however you're gonna get better gaming performance with my build.Like I said I don't know much on the subject. I'll probabaly wait for some more people to weigh in on these builds and see what everyone else thinks.
The guy never said he wanted to save money...of course it probably could be assumed most people want to save some money but:For a 62% price hike i dont see any point a GTX 570 will run any game at 1920x1080 at the highest settings.

If that's the case than he should go with my original suggestion and get a GTX 560 Ti SLI...if he ever has issues he can just use a single GTX 560 and still be running smoothly.It's not about blowing the other build out of the water OP wants a good build, and i am sure OP also wants a decent price he doesnt want to blindly throw money away. Price/performance Ratio is key!!

M. Night Shyamalan's build is cool and all but if you want SIGNIFICANTLY HIGHER GAMING PERFORMANCE for your money.
In the odd chance that you experience any issues with SLI on a game you can always disable it and still get amazing performance @ 1080p.

I don't think semantics have anything to do with the OP's question..So what do GTX 560s in SLI get the OP then, "amazinger performance"? You can't have your cake and eat it too.
