Need Help BAD

Ok here my problem i have just set-up my new RIG and can't get the SLI going for the life of me. I don't know much about it and still learning.here my set-up ASUS Striker MB 2 8800 Ultra overclocks i flash to the latest BIO (1305) have both cards installed in PC use the lastest driver from Nvidia now under my device manger it shows 1 8800 ultra in the display and there a PCI unknown device which has to be my other 8800 ultra i try connect the bridge thatcame with MB and in the BIO it shows some option like SLI than next to it it's grayed out and can't click on it. and next to it it says Not dectected Please help out no clue what to do?

I'd uninstall both cards in device manager, reboot into safe mode and clean the drivers, reboot into normal and do a manual driver install. Both cards should be detected and installed at that time and then you'll be given an option to engage sli.

Try it still a no go it still shows the PCI as a unknown device.. This has been driving me crazy.. Now i notice on the 8800ultra it has 2 sets of gold finger on the card does this matter that the cable that bridge them together only has 1 conn. to each. or is there something i need that goes on both sets of golden fingers. I's very new at this and have no clue what to do?

The Dual connectors are for triple SLI. What PSU do you have and do you have all 4 6-pin PCIe Power Connectors connected?

ALso, any extra power connectors on the motherboard for multi-gpu?

its 100% a hardware problem since once you install the driver it recognizes one card, and not the other. if the driver is installed and the cards are present, the driver applies to both cards, and it obviously suggests that this is an SLI capable system.

you need to try each card separately, because you might have a dud unfortunately. if both cards work by themselves, then you need to figure out what you are doing wrong when you put both cards in there, because its definetely a hardware problem.

i have a Striker Extreme MB and Silencer 750 from PC power and cooling i did try both cards and they both show display. i have been working on this for over 5 to 6 hours and can't figure it out at all.

sorry for the double post but just wanted to add i remove both cards and try them both on both PCI slots and they both work fine on both slots. I'm so confused on what tro do here. Is there something i need to do in my BIO to enable it.. i notice in the BIO it says something like SLI ready and next to it its grayed out and says NOT DETECTED..

well here the break down i use Vista 64 ultimate and when i just use 1 card it works fine when i put both cards in and i try to plug the monitor into the bottom card it doesn't show anything but if i put a single card on bottom PCI alone works fine but if i add both of them the bottom does not work but the top does.. Now i installed the driver and it looks like its only showing 1 card not sure whatit should look like if both cards are working but nothing came up about SLI so i can't firgure out whats going on here.. Really odd
