NEED HELP Choosing a Motherboard

Hello all..

I recently purchased a FC-PGA Celeron 566 and I am needing a new mobo..

I am upgrading from a *gasp* 233MMX and I am not to familiar with all this "Slocket" and other jargon that goes around with this processor.. (I do understand what a slocket is, but which one do I need?)

I am needing advice on a motherboard, I would like to overclock this sucker, so any advice would be appreciated.

Na, get the GigaByte GA-6VX7-4X. Its a socket 370 board with the Via 133a chipset. No need for any slocket nonsense and it out performs the Asus and more stable too.

Yes, but it can be hard to get big heatsinks and fans on FC-PGA motherboards for overclocking. Slockets are only about $20 too.

Also, all I have around here is PC66 Ram (96m worth) am I going to be able to use this ram, or am I going to need to buy PC100-133?

I suggest ASUS P3V4X/CUV4X or ASUS CUBX. You should be able to use your existing PC66 RAM with no problems. Even if you overclock to 100MHz FSB, a lot of PC66 can handle 100MHz. Just try it.
