My Specs:
3200+ Venice 939 E6 stepping
DFI Lanparty NF4 Ultra D UT
HIS x850xt PCIE
512x2 Corsair ValueSelect
About 2 weeks ago, I spilled my a drink on my PC, ruined my previous motherboard and CPU. I assumed the CPU was dead because I tried it in a new motherboard (My current DFI lanparty) and it would only boot for about a second (The fans, leds all turned on then turns off a second later). I got my new CPU today (3200+ Venice) along with a new HDD. I put my system back together, and turned it on. Now, the PC stays on but the CPU HSF turns off after 5 seconds. I turned the PC off as soon as the CPU HSF turns off in fear of my new CPU getting fried too. What could be the problem?
Also, there was a very small bit of thermal paste that got in between the rows of holes on the cpu socket, is this what is causing this?
Thanks in advance.
