need help creating a discussion forum

I want to create a discussion forum for one of the classes I'm taking right now. I don't know much about html coding, but I do know how to create basic web pages in FrontPage. Can someone help me out or point me in the right direction? It doesn't need to be anything fancy. I just need something where other students can post questions or comments about the class.....similar to these forums but not near as elaborate. Usernames and passwords aren't necessary but would be nice. If it makes any difference, I would be running the page from a server at school.

If you want to learn how to actually code a discussion forum, you will need a database (MS Access will do) and pick up a front-end scripting language like Active Server Pages or Java Server Pages. There is also a few open-source forums out there that you can search for.

If you just need a forum so that your classmates can post messages, there's a bunch of free forums that you can sign up for. First that comes to mind is Yahoo Groups.

If you are already using Front Page, use the discussion site wizard. Not as functional as Anandtech, but it's easy and it works.
