I've disabled ActiveX controls on my browser due to paranoia. The only webpage I need to reactivate them for so far is the Windows Update page. Its about the only site I'll trust to make changes to my programs, and only because I need the security updates to protect my computer from hacker vulnerabilities.
Anyway, to the problem. Each time I open a webpage that wants to d/l ActiveX controls, I get the message box "Active X controls not enabled. This page may not display properly." And I have to click on "OK" to continue. Does anybody know how to disable this popup warning? I'm sure there must be some registry key value that needs changed, but I don't have any idea which one. Its becoming very annoying. If you roll back security to "User prompt to enable ActiveX controls", you still have to click all the time to allow or disallow ActiveX on a page. Only by freely allowing it can you navigate the web without a constnat popup window nuisance
