Need Help: Does anyone know how to modify Epson Stylus Printes into CDR Printers?

Hi Board,

I dont know if anyone can help, but I have seen it done, but do not know to do it.

Basically, by modifying the paper transport mechanism, you can make the printer take thicker substances.

Any help would be great.

I have an Epson Stylus 740. Under the cover on the right-hand side is a little lever used to adjust the printer to accept different thickness papers. It goes all the way from regular paper to photo paper to cardboard, basically. Doesn't your Epson have this little lever?

Yeah, it has this lever, but what I am asking is how to change it so the paper/sheet with CDR discs on it does not go in at an angle. it would get stuck as it is right now

Oh, do you mean change it so it prints "sideways" or "rightside up" as opposed to however it prints now? There should be an option for that in your CD label printing program. I have EZ CD Creator and I can change the angle that I put the paper in, in the program.

I want to make it so that whatever I am printing to go straight through. Not using the paper holder. like a manual media feed right opposite where the paper comes out
