In high school I volunteered at a hospital and they had pads of doctor's notes in the wide open. I took a pad home one day and scanned it in. I planned to sell it off to people who wanted to make fake doctor notes. I don't think I really carried it out. I don't even know where that pad went...

+1 for the idea.
-10 for the lack of execution.

2. Your employee _______DrOff508_______ was riding his son's BMX bike and broke his left ankle in two places and will be out of work for 4 months.

DrOff508 was receiving "favors" from the neighborhood mare again when she kicked. He is in reconstructive junk surgery as you read this and will therefore not be reporting for work today.

don't do it. I caught an employee that did that and we canned her.

OP, watch out for karma. Back in 2000 I decided one day I didn't want to go to work so I called in and made up a story that my car's starter died and I would have to get it replaced and wouldn't be in that day. The car was in perfect condition, but the lie got me out of work. About 3 weeks later.... my starter really did die

I know people will say it's BS about karma, but I have no doubt karma played a roll in it dying so soon after I faked it.

If you are too dumb to come up with a fake doctors note on your own, you probably shouldn't even try. I'd fire your ass in a second.

That helps!

You should have said that you had explosive diarrhea, no one ever questions explosive diarrhea.

why would you say you had an accident?

Just say that you had diarrhea and sickness. They won't question it.

Also, why the f*ck do you need a doctor's note for one day off due to "sickness".

That's when you blame the cheap rebuilt starter from Kragen...

Well, considering he's already lied, he's boned either way at this point.

OP, why not just tell the truth in the first place?

So many people just don't understand that when you tell the truth...there's less to remember...

I've always wondered about workplaces that require this. It seems like a HIPAA violation waiting to happen. The employer would have to accept a note with no details on it, such as: It was recommended that xxx not go to work today.

I've never had a doctor write what I was seen for on a employers note.
