As long as you detail what your actual responsibilities are, the title you choose is meaningless. There are so many people with the same titles that you can't derive anything from it. Pick something generic like computer hardware maintenance and repair then talk about your achievements/roles/etc.

What's wrong with computer repair? It's accurate, and no BS. If I were given a resume with some kind of made up synonym for computer repair, that would be the first to go in the circular file.

you can put down whatever crap title you want on a resume... they don't care what your title is...

they care what your responsibilities are.

You can put down "senior technicial representative - hardware" for a title..

if you put down as responsibilities - "reset NT password" and nothing else... they know yer a bullshit artist.

so put your REAL title there.... its not like they're gonna call your work and say "was so-and-so really this position?"

but the question is.. do they tell you ?

most HR reps i've spoken with over the years say "We only confirm dates of employment and responsibilities when called for references"

you can usually tell someone is bullshitting if they put down "Title: Manager of IT Procurement" and HR tells ya "they sorted mail"

Just play it safe and put down either "Baller" or "High Roller, Big Spender" for all your position titles. No one can argue with that.
