Need help identifying a 90's song

This is driving me crazy. The song is from the mid 90's. It's a fairly heavy, with a female singer. I can't remember any of the lyrics, except something in the chorus about "see," and "star." I know that's not helping, but the video featured the band in darkness with a spotlight on their instruments, and faces. If anyone remember this, please help! I can't get the melody out of my head!

Hah! I just listened to that Poe song to see if that was it! The woman singing the song I'm talking about sounds like Poe, it may be that band.

In the video, there were no wide shots of the band, just close shots of the instrument, or the faces lit by a flashlight, or something. The lady singer had long light brown, blond, or red hair, and she was playing a guitar (a Les Paul Jr., or Melody Maker, IIRC,)

It's not any of the big name bands. That's why I'm having such a hard time finding it.

I don't know who the artist is, so I can't give you their age. The song was out in the mid 90's, arounf 94-96. I remember because I was going through a quasi-divorce..

That's probably the best genre to fit it in. It was during that heyday. Like I said, it's not a metal song, but its... I guess Nirvana-esque heavy.

Then you'd be best served looking at grunge bands which shouldn't be too many and since it's a music video, you might be able to find it on youtube via terms such as "grunge".
