Need help identifying video capture card - bt848kpf chipset

I've searched all the usual suspects for any info on this card; Deja, fcc id search, google, altavista, etc...and can't come up with any good leads. It's definitely a video capture card of some sort. PCI bus, has 3 RCA Jacks (1 video, left and right audio) an S video DIN, two audio in or outs on the board for soundcard I guess, and NO TV Tuner as most cards with this chip seem to have...

Has two decals on the underside labeled like so:

And etched in the board is &quot;Axiom Design&quot;

If anyone can provide any lead on this card (it was obtained from a Gateway reseller's used parts bin) I'd be eternally grateful.

Did you check Brooktree's web site? Actually, I think they are part of Conexant now, try Conexant's web site and see if that tells you anything.

Yes, of course I checked the chip manufacturer's website. The only information they gave was that they manufacture chips, not cards. Gave a list of companies who produced cards with their chipsets, and I checked every one of them - to no avail.

I did however, pop it into my Linux box and it was recognized as a 'BrookTree Bt848 Video Decoder' (as if I didn't know that already). Windows Plug n' Pray only know's it as a 'Multimedia Video Device'.

Perhaps what this card really is, is the BiTboys Glaze3D!! That would explain it's non-existance.

Well, I can?t tell you what the card is, but I do know it was made by Hauppauge. The FCC ID you copied down should be H9O not H90.

I know a guy that works Brooktree down in San Diego but I haven't seen him in a while. He gave me a free capture card and camera and I was using it for a while. But I've lost the drivers. If I find em I'll give em to you.

so what are you looking for? the driver for this? I have a digital camera that use this file for sure. I am using Big Picture from US Robotic. What exatcly do you need? Tell me, I will help you if I can. I am using that bt driver for my win 98 and Win ME. If you need to use the digital camera for Win 2000 I use the one that I downloaded from the haupauge site. Since I see that you are mentioning. Well after reading your posting again.. then if I am not mistaken, you just want to know what card it is right? I have that card and it's PCI card from US Robotic for the Digital Camera. If you need the driver, you can download it from the US Robotic site. I think the site now is the same with 3 Com site. Let me know if you still need help. I am sure I can help you solve this problem.

It's H9'Oh' instead of H9'zero'! Which means that this card is infact manufactured by Hauppauge...fcc search doesn't recognize the second part of the ID, but at least I've definitely got a lead on it.
