Ok. We have a small problem at our warehouse. People keep parking in front of our bay door preventing us from getting deliveries or even parking our own cars there! We only have two people working here right now, but in three months we will have six. We need some ideas on how to deal with these @$#%!

We are right next to a US base so a lot of the cars that park there are probably US service members or people who work on base.

We have access to:
A Forklift (3 Ton capacity)
3 Ton cement blocks
Saran Wrap for palets
Dirt Cheap Labor (~$450 US for 1 man month)
Lots of tools
Grease Pens
Standard Office Supplies

Help us stop these guys! Let you imagination run wild!

I thank you in advance.

1) post private parking signs.
2) hire a towing service
3) profit from your cut of towing fees

Paint the curb yellow, and post a sign saying they'll be towed. Call tow trucks when the do. Word will get around. Problem solved.

Purchase a couple of No Parking signs.

Get the DOD sticker # and contact the base security. Red/Yellow/blue stickers will get the hint - Military personal.
Green/White stickers are civilians - have no compulsions for them.

Setup a on-call contract with a local towing service after having the signs up and the problem still exists.

Three ton forklift is it? Get some long forks and then simply pick the car up with the forklift and move it someplace else.

Are the people already parked there when you arrive for work? Or do they park there during the day, after people in the warehouse have come in?

Is it marked as a no-parking area?

1. Drag cars inside using forklift and cheap labor
2. Sell cars to chop shop
3. Have a very merry xmas

There are signs everywhere.... We even have the warehouse security people tell them as they are parking not to park there. They are Americans, No one can tell them what to do....

As for the DOD stickers.... We are not in the US. There are no identifiable markings on any DOD or GOV CIV cars. Everyone who parks in front of our warehouse is though...

We have several signs and barriers to prevent people from parking in front of the warehouse, which is why they park in front of our bay door. (How kind of them!)

So far we have been collecting plate numbers and posting individualized warnings on each car. On the third offense we say we will tow them... Today we got a Red Mazda 3 plate no 25689* for the second time in the past three days. If there was a reliable towing service, or something like that in this country than we would probably have them on call.... But there is none... Bahrain parking laws are well - park where ever you want - on the sidewalk, in the street whatever. Literally.

Part of me really wants to put the next car up on a 6000lbs cement block (one of those barriers laying around) and if they do it again, just reverse the arrangement. Is it too much to ask for people to actually obey a no parking sign or just think that maybe people will need access to some bay doors?

ARG! We will start some construction soon and if they keep parking here then I guess the local labor will probably solve the problem for us.... Little driving skill combined with not caring... Sometimes its a good thing?

Have someone with a airsoft gun sit next to the entry, if someone parks in the way, he/she gets shot in the face. If they show attitude, pull out a real gun.

Spray paint the words "get the fvck out of our way" on the cars.

"accidentally" back into the car in the way with the forklift.

slash tires.

1.) Move car in empty lot using forklift.
2.) Take off two of the tires.
3.) problem solved.

That has potential. Of course someone might just come by and pick it up, take it to the peir and.....

Could move some of those 6000bs barriers and block in their car..... For a Month... And its a rental too!

If they complain about the Saran Wrap just say that cars dropped off in front of the warehouse get shipped overseas so they better not park there anymore! Shocking, non damaging and gets the point across in an innocent "Hey we are just doing our job" kind of way. I want pics of a wrapped car!

Just tow the car away with the forklift. I've pulled a van that slide about ten feet down a hill with a forklift. Of course, the van was in neutral, but I'm sure you can figure something out.

Bahaha, you're in the Middle East? Good luck getting anyone to park anywhere close to where they're supposed to

In Amman, 4-lane highways very frequently become 2-lane highways with parking lots on the left and right shoulders.

Should *some how* a car parked in front of our warehouse get saran wrapped. Pics are just a given....

If it was still summer, we could start cooking things on people cars.... maybe next year.

Burger a la Mazda anyone? With cheese of course.
