I have an Abit KT7-Raid Mobo, 1 ghz Copper Tbird (unlocked), 128mb Mushkin HSDRAM PC150mhz, Alpha Pal6035 Ultra w/ 38 cfm fan, two Sunon 40 cfm case fans(1 intake, 1 exhaust), Sparkle 300w pwr supply, UL bios for KT7-Raid.
I would like to get to 1.2 ghz if possible but have only been able to get to 1.150 mhz stable. if someone here can help, please provide me with information to get there. The max voltage I can get to is 1.85v since I haven't modified the board for 1.94v yet. But if I need to, then i will do it.
Thanx again.

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to fund an adventure in overclocking a 1Ghz myself yet. But, I have read that to achieve 1.2 GHz, you will need some extreme cooling. I haven't read of too many people getting past the 1.1 mark, let alone to 1.15. You are doing pretty good already. I have heard that water-cooling seems to be pretty cheap and effective at doing it. A peltier might help too. Just a little knowledge I have dug up, keep looking though. I might be wrong.

Hi There,

Finaly i meet someone overclocking a 1Ghz Tbird.
Untill now i havent seen to many people overclocking these babys.

I bought mine 2 weeks ago. Mine is also not locked.
I also havent been able to get it to 1200 (yet!). It will post however, but it locks wile booting windows. also 11.5x100 (1150) is not real stable.
I have it running at 102x11=1122 at the moment, wich is stable. I am gonna try raising the busspeed this week, ill let u know what i get.
The coolermaster fan i have keeps it at 50C crunching RC5 and about 32C idle.

btw, are u only raising multiplier ? or busspeed also ?
let me know.

My system : Abit KT7-RAID, 1Ghz Tbird, 128MB pc100 (noname), Coolermaster fan, Asus v7700 Geforce2 32MB DDR, 34GB IBM, Supermicro AC760 (4fans).

Thx Bastard, i am finally happy to see someone is trying or attempting to get a 1ghz beyond 1 ghz.
The way i got 1.150 ghz is by ocing the cpu multiplier to x11 and the fsb to +4 and the voltage up to 1.85v, which gave me actually 1.144 ghz. Coupled with my Geforce 2 GTS I got Quake3 Timedemo demo001 score of 202.1 fps. I hope this helps you get to 1.144 "bastard".

My Alpha with 38 cfm fan, and two Sunon 40 cfm case fans keep the system pretty tame. Right now my Hardware monitor shows a cpu temp of 84 degrees F (29 deg. Celsius) and a system Temp of 77 deg. F (25 deg. C) at idle.
So I consider my system is pretty cool, if not I have an extra Sunon 40 cfm fan and a 6" dia Panaflo fan that has the potential to bring the case temp even lower. What I need is for people like us to share info so that we can get some serious Ocing done. I plan to try getting to 1.2 ghz this week by experimenting around but would appreciate some help if anyone can.
Check out my scores under the post "Sweetest Overclock Ever?" on this page. Dont know if it is good or not. Need comments.
Thx.
