Need help on a band on MTV HD last night 1-11

Just talking to a friend and he said he watched a band on MTV HD or MHD last night at around 10-12 CST, it was an unplugged concert and they had an orchestra, they were rock and he tried to describe the band but I have little to go on other than that, it's driving me nuts not knowing who he was talking about, he said they had no credits at the end and the guide said nothing other than just "unplugged concert" anyone see this or have a clue who it could have been.

I don't think it was TSO, he said they had a singer and were "rock" as for the masks I think Korn did an unplugged and had the masks so I asked if it was them and he said no.

do you remember any of the details when he was describing the band? If so... I'll help determine if it was Coheed and Cambria. Were they saying the bands albums are all chapters in an epic space saga, and that each song's lyrics act as words to the story?

That is who I was thinking. They had an orchestra with them when they did it.

Not many details other than the singer had kinda slicked back long hair, guitarist maybe of asian descent and kinda stocky build. Band was probably mid 40's in age?? They were in a smaller venue not an arena with about a 20 piece orchestra behind them.

Coldplay was on at 9 CST and Green Day was on at 11 CST. Was real quick to check the listings on zap2it.com ;p. Although Bon Jovi (who was mentioned above me) was not listed in my listings, it is possible that the listings are wrong (wouldn't be the first time).
