recently i read this post http://forums.anandtech.com/message...p;enterthread=y

and found out that leadtek card has some problems with leaking pics
and this is the 2nd time i found out
the 1st is in the 1st page of that same forum

i am really dizzy guys right now
anyone have a better idea ???
how about elsa or xfx or gainward or galaxy, anyone use them have probs or not ??
and how bout their heatsinks is it good like leadtek ( sticky to the gpu and not move at all or not sticky like pixelview , msi, gigabyte )
here is some quotes to explain waht i means by "sticky"

quote:The Leadtek card uses a circular HSF. They have a larger circumference than the Galaxy card, so it is still possible to tilt cooling solution, but Leadtek have added a pad around the silicon that helps to stabilize the heatsink . While support on the edges of the HSF would have been perfectly stable, this design is much improved over some of the other solutions that we've seen.

pls refer to this review

I would go with the leadtek....they're known for being really really good

OR get BFG for $50 more, but its OCed out of the box and has a lifetime warranty

your pick

I'd avoid XFX and PNY. eVGA, Gainward, BFG, and (in my opinion) Leadtek should all be fine.

They all have their share of problems from what I have seen, but BFG does have the best warranty around. BFG support tried to brush off the borked PVP issue just like nV, and even told one guy here to F off in so many words so  for that. My AGP XFX 6600GT overclocks to 565/1.14 on auto and has been running flawlessly about 2months now, includes 3 games, dual DVI, and a more functional PVP than the 6800 series, quite exceptable for $199 shipped. XFX definitely has a bad rep but I see quite a few of us in various forums, who have their 6600GT are happy with it.

Their quality control seems to be somewhat suspect with certain products, and some sday they have terrible experiences with their customer service&support. Myself, I had a bad XFX ti4600 VIVO, but having bought it used can't pin the blame on XFX because the previous owner/s could have abused the shat out of it.

I found their customer service excellent though. I called sales instead of tech support though Asked if I could RMA without a invoice and got a no, not unexpected and my fault for buying it without one. Thn I asked if I could buy the VIVO cable since I got it as a bare card, they took my address and sent it to me free of charge  Showed up in 5 biz days too. That was the reason I gave them a go on the 600GT, and I am happy I did.

you'll always hear about someone getting a dud card. hell, some people get dud ferrari's. talk to my dad, he'll tell you. i've had the xfx brand that EVERYONE seems to say stay away from, but i've never had any problems. to date i've had leadtek, ati, xfx, aopen, and will likely try a bfg next. all of my previous cards have been fine.
