Need Help on my P4 2.4B 533 / Epox 4PEA+ rev 1.0

Hi i just got my new computer, i wanna try overclocking it, first my normal temp at default bios settings is already 44 C. i tried changing the CPU fan to a Tharmaltake copper thing with 6000 rpm fan but its still the same. I also change the board with another 4pea+ its still 44 C.
Am using a Lian Li PC 65 case with Enermax 350 w. am also using a Leadtech Gf 4 ti 4800 (4600 version with 8x). Can i still overclock it?
Am living in the philippines its a humid tropical country altho i use airconditioning in my room.

DO you have any case fans. What hsf are you using.Intel or did you buy one.
I would invest in a Vantec P4 hsf. Keeps temps low. 36idle 42under load.

i am using a thermaltake copper heatsink with 6000 rpm for P4 cpus the new cpu blower. i also got a lian li pc 64 it comes with 4 fans thats all am running it 2.40 only no oc yet and this is quite high. very weird but the store said its all the normal temp of epox + 533 Mhz P4 . they said temps are high coz of the 533 mhz? normal temps range from 42-44 in all thier cases. i tried a new 2.4 chip same reading.... new mobo same temp. .... new power supply same results..... weird how can i oc?

What is your case temp?
Your case to cpu temp will be related.

Most of the Lian Li cases have very quite slow low air flow fans
that come with thier cases. You may need to change out the
factory installed fans to get better temps.

Hi r case temps system temp. if so it reads 38-40 on the bios. are there cases where the sensors report higher temps?

Your system temp is the motherboard temps, probably reading from close to the Northbridge.
I am not familiar with the Epox board so I am not real sure where the sensor is placed.

That aside, for the CPU temps to be within 4C of the board is very good.
However, the board temp is high. It should be more like 23-29C and as
I mentioned before you may want to put some higher cfm fans in place of
the LianLi factory ones.

I replaced the fans on my Lian Li and dropped the system temp by 8C.
Was 32C and now is 24C.

thanks but i doubt i get 20's since my ambient temp is in the mid 30's i have a hot country even on air conditioning it wont drop to 20's.
so is this normal?
