Need help on psu

hello all i can get these power supply's dirt cheap for 10$ a piece they are for a hp xw8400 workstation and are 800 watt and they are 24 pin
have pci-e connector and sata connectors will this work for a am3 mb and a intel mb socket 775

please some one let me know if this will work for any of these motherboards thanks

First, they are $100 each, not $10
Second, shipping is $45 per unit
Third, seller is in Norway, so unless you
are in Europe or near there it may not be worth it.

From the looks of that picture I determine that PSU to be a Delta OEM PSU. It will work well considering that it is an OEM unit but don't expect 80+ Gold certification with this PSU. As with all OEM PSU the 24 pin cable is a little bit short to cut cost but you can buy a 24 pin cable extension if it does not reach your 24 pin connector.

NZXT do sell the 24 pin extension cable but I am sure you could find cheaper alternatives than NZXT. If it was used for quite a while send it to your local electrician or disassemble it yourself to clean up the dust in the PSU.

thanks to everyone that replied i am greatfull will give one a try for 10$ look like the only thing it might not have is a 8 pin cpu connector only a 4 pin

The 4 pin CPU connector would be enough even though on the motherboard has a 8 pin CPU connector. Just plug in the 4 pin into the proper side and sometimes a cover is given to cover the unused 4 pins in case there is only a 4 pin instead of a 8 pin.
