Need help on using two power supplies .....

I knew at one time bu have forgotten.

I need to know how to hook up two ATX power supplies so that both turn on when I turn on the machine. Like which wires to connect, or a link to a article on how to do a really clean dual PS setup.

Any help will be much appreciated.

hmmm i think you hook everything in parralell at the switch.. blue&blue&pin1 (theoretical, i dunno what it actually is)
like just ditch one switch? and put the wires that were attached to that switch up to the one remaining switch?

What are you doing with the second PSU? I ask because AT power supplies have their power switch hard wired to the supply. Just a thought

Oh, I am just upping the power. I plan to dedicate one two the motherboard and have the second power all my fans (3-120mm, 7-80mm) and drives (4-Harddrive, DVD, CDRW).

I have a 3-1/2 foot tall case so I have room for two additional PSU's above the original one. So I figure since you get much more of a increase in available amps with two PSU's I'd go that root over sinking a large chunk of money into one good one.

I have a TopPower 300w and a Deer 250w. So basically 550w. But even better is that I now have 35-50amps available as apposed to 15-30 from a single good PSU costing 50-150+ dollars.

A AT PSU would be a good thing to use for all the case fans....hmmmm....three PSU's????

I'd go with the AT PSU then as you only have to drill a hole for the switch.
