Need help please on picking a new video card

9500GT is not a gaming card by any stretch of imagination.

Errr...WOW is not especially dependent on graphics power. It is actually more dependent on CPU and RAM, and does not benefit as much from a high-end graphics card (as long as the GPU supports all the required features with adequate performance). GF 9500GT is basically the same performance level as 8600GT and plays plenty of games with more than acceptable performance.

You've managed to get an argument going about graphics card performance (on a low-rated PSU), while withholding one of the most important piece of information: size & case form-factor.

Something I forgot about before ordering. This dell has the low-profile cards only. There not full length if that makes since. Ive seen some full heigh card were you can change that metal bracket for the low-profile cards on card. However I dont see any of these cards coming with one I can switch out to make it fit. So now guessing shes screwed. crap!

Keep an eye out for the MSI 5670 low profile version.

or just buy a low profile hd5570, it should be ok for WOW.

LOL I know I'm sorry! I use to be on top of this stuff but no longer a gamer so lost touch. You have to know my mother in law. She driving me nutts to get this PC done so she can play WOW! At the same time at your guys mercy for help since Im not up to par on the video cards PLUS a POS PS and being a low profile at that!! I feel your pain brother. ; )

happy medium - im not sure on what resolution she plays, I do know she use to have a Geforce GTX 7900 so any card thats as good if not better at this fine Im fine with buying so I can get it out of my house! (grin)

Ill check into thos cards you have posted. Im hoping to order a card tonight!
